Farewell – Abschied
Hello everybody,
this weekend is the last weekend of my first semester – and it was a blast.
I had so much fun, made so many friends and a vast number of memories. Some of my international friends will leave in the upcoming week and won´t come back to Juniata, when I´ll be here again in January – they´ll go back to their countries. It is sad that they will leave – but I will always remember the last few months with them. It was an amazing time and our international group was – to sum it up – just like one big family.
They are the reason, why I never got really homesick during my time here at Juniata and I hope that I will make more memories like this in the next semester with my international friends who will return to Juniata.
I´m glad that I´m here – coming to Juniata was one of the best decisions of my life. There are two videos existing – one made by Ed Smith, the other one made by me – maybe they will help you to understand why this time was so amazing.

Hallo zusammen,
das vergangene Wochenende war das letzte des ersten Semesters am Juniata für mich.
Ich habe so viel Spaß gehabt in den vergangenen vier Monaten, habe so viele Freunde gefunden, unzählige Erinnerungen gemacht. Einige meiner „International“-Freunde werden Juniata in der kommenden Woche für immer verlassen, einige werden im Januar nicht zurückkommen – sie bleiben in ihrer Heimat. Es ist sehr traurig, dass sie gehen – aber ich werde die vergangenen Monate mit ihnen für immer in Erinnerung behalten. Es war eine legendäre Zeit und unsere „International Group“ war – zusammengefasst – wie eine große Familie.
„Die Internationals“ waren der Grund dafür, dass ich nie wirklich Heimweh hatte und ich hoffe, dass ich im nächsten Semester mit den zurückkehrenden „Internationals“ noch mehr großartige Erinnerungen machen werde.
Ich bin unglaublich froh, dass ich hier bin – dass ich ans Juniata gekommen bin, war eine der besten Entscheidungen meines Lebens. Es gibt zwei „Abschiedsvideos“ – vielleicht helfen sie euch, zu verstehen, warum diese Zeit so genial war. Eines ist von mir, ein anderes von Ed Smith. Schaut mal rein!
